Patricia Ann Day

Patricia “Pat” Ann Day, 92, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2021. A private graveside service will be held for Pat Day at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas Texas 75211. Pat was born June 3, 1929, to Benjamin Franklin Abbott and Eva Mae Abbott in Waurika, Oklahoma. Pat grew up in Oklahoma and graduated from Three Sands High School. Her hobbies included painting and other forms of artwork, playing the piano, researching genealogy and sewing. Pat attended the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Art and her Master of Arts in Education. Pat went on to be an educator, and she taught various levels, but found her calling as a third-grade teacher. Pat was preceded in death by her husband: James G. Day; her parents: Benjamin F. Abbott & Eva Mae Abbott; her brothers: Don Abbott, Tom Abbott and Bob Abbott. Pat was survived by her three children: Claudia Smith, Diane Gallemore, Bishop Gallemore and his wife Marian Gallemore; her eight grandchildren: David Smith, Steven Smith, Patricia Becht, Christine Johnson, Claude Marotta, Crystal Marotta, Kiki Gallemore and Ric Gallemore; her ten greatgrandchildren; nieces and a nephew.
