Pat Freeman Dickinson transcended from her earthly body to her heavenly body on July 2, 2017. Graveside Service: Friday, July 7, 2017 in Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Pat was born to James L. and Edith Freeman on March 4, 1938 in Kirk, TX. Following the end of World War II, Pat's family moved to Houston where she attended the University of Houston part-time while working. She graduated from Mary Beth McDonald's Studio of Modeling at age 13 and proudly enjoyed representing them throughout the 50's at many special events during that era of Houston's tremendous growth. Pat moved to Dallas in 1959 to attend the American Airlines Stewardess College. She was based in Dallas during her career as a Stewardess with American. Pat moved to Arlington in 1961 not long after she and Chuck married. They have been members of Fielder Church in Arlington for a number of years. She was a founding member of the Animal Care & Education Society of Arlington (ACES). Pat continued her friendship and fellowship with former AA stewardesses through the KIWI group. She kept in touch with members of her high school graduating class and attended class reunions in Houston, including their 50th in 2005. She enjoyed her professional career as a secretary at LTV, the Kendavis Companies, and BNSF Railway. Pat was an amateur photographer and was always delighted to share her photos with family and friends. Pat also relished in practicing Law without a degree and providing financial and investment advice when it wasn't requested. She contributed to education throughout the State of Texas by participating and supporting the Texas Lottery. She and her family also generously supported a number of religious, charitable and medical organizations. Many times her contributions were for a special, individual need. Most of all she was proud to be the mother and a friend to her loving and caring daughter, Sabrina, whom she loved dearly. Get-togethers with family and friends were very special to Pat and she cherished and thoroughly enjoyed those times. Life was good to Pat and she was able to enjoy many years of good health. She and Chuck were able to travel to special places within the U.S. and enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Freeman; nephew, Jerry Lee Verot; sister, Vanita Lee; and loving husband of 54 years, Chuck Dickinson.
