Othelya Fay Gardner was born on June 9, 1934 in Arlington, Texas and entered into her heavenly home with her Lord on June 11, 2016.
She passed away in the Community Hospice of Arlington at Arlington Memorial Hospital after suffering from Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Fay graduated from Arlington High School, went to work for an electric company, and finished her working career as an office manager for Drs. McKaig and Davis of Arlington.
She married James Gardner on March 11, 1955, and had just celebrated their 61st anniversary.
Fay loved to take vacations with friends and family to the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. Her favorite place to visit was the Hill Country in Texas. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren playing and treating them with loving generosity.
She was adored by all who knew her. She exemplified the fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23, faithfully loving and serving her Lord, and being strongly devoted to each member of her family. Fay's commitment to her loved ones and courage in sickness is a testimony to her faith and trust in the Savior.
Fay is survived by her husband, James; daughters, Carolyn and husband, John, Sandra and husband, Tim; 6 grandchildren, Amanda, Laura, Katie, Whitney, Nathan, and Millie; 8 great-grandchildren, Haleigh, Anthony, Brianna, Karrisa, Cassidy, Nancy, Gwen and Kora Fay.
