Opal Don Bishop

ARLINGTON -- Opal Don Bishop, 97, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Fort Worth. Graveside: 11:00 a.m Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Opal was born on Oct. 8, 1918 in rural Alabama to Raymond and Annie Taylor. She was raised in Tipton, OK and later moved to Arlington where she lived a long life. Opal was creative and enjoyed painting, sewing, and needlework. She was a loving soul, a servant of God, and touched many lives. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bishop; and son, Don Bishop. Survivors: Daughter, Diane Persky, and son-in-law, Mike Persky; daughter-in-law, Patty Bishop; and grandchildren, Emily and Miles Persky, Allison and Collin Bishop.
