Olive Ruth Guyer

Olive Ruth Guyer, 99, passed away peacefully at home on March 18, 2023.

Ruth was born in Brownwood, Texas on July 8, 1923 to John and Stella Guyer. She attended Bangs High School and graduated in May 1941 as her class valedictorian. After graduating, she worked at Camp Bowie in Brownwood TX and later went to work for the United States government at the General Services Administration (GSA) division as a financial analyst. After retiring from the GSA she volunteered at the City of Arlington Information Service desk.

She loved to travel, take cruises with her sisters, read, go fishing and solve crossword puzzles.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents John and Stella Guyer and sisters Billie Winchester, Audrey Dailey and Sue Cox. She is survived by her sister Earlene McFarland as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was loved by many and she will be missed by everyone who knew her.
