ARLINGTON -- Olive Fehr Wilson, 92, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Arlington.
Memorial service: 2 p.m Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
Olive was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Akron, Ohio, to Dayton and Bertha Bond. She won the title of Miss Akron in 1937 along with two other pageant titles. While in Akron, Olive worked for Firestone where she met her future husband and later worked for Royal Business Forms for 14 years in Arlington.
Olive and her family moved to Arlington in 1956. After the death of her husband, she moved to Darlene Lane, where she pioneered the last street on South Center in 1959.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Cmdr. Billie L. Wilson, in 1958.
Survivors: Daughter, Georgeann Valenetine; son, Marc Wilson and wife, Annette; daughter, Buttons Holland; grandchildren, Tammy Nelson, Ricky Valentine and Billie L. Wilson; great-grandchildren, Olivia Valentine, Clayton Nelson, Cody Nelson, Clark Nelson and Nicholas Wilson; sister, Alice Kaylor Banning of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
