Nuell Clarence McGrew of Arlington was born December 15, 1917, near Grady, NM. He passed from this life on January 20, 2019.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, at the funeral home.
Clarence worked for 20 years for Johnson Chevrolet in Dallas, the Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond, CA (during WWII), and for Bell Helicopter before he retired to work on the cars of many friends and family members. He loved fishing and boating, traveling across the US, and in his later years being at his son's ranch. Above all else, he loved his family and his many friends, and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Arlington for many years.
Survivors: He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 78 years, Doris Madeline Gray; their sons, Thomas Gray and his wife, Sandra and John McGrew, both of Arlington. He had 4 grandchildren, Brian McGrew and wife, Becky of Parker, CO, Alan McGrew and wife, Jill of Corinth, TX, Grady McGrew of Arlington, and Amber McGrew of Mexia. He was also survived by 3 great-granddaughters, Taylor McGrew of Parker, Co, and Lauren and Ashley McGrew of Corinth, TX; and brother-in-law, Jerry Gray and wife, Sue of Arlington.
