Nola Faye Ross

Nola “Faye” Ross, 91, went to be with Jesus Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in Arlington, TX. Funeral services will be Friday, February 2, 2018 at Lake Arlington Baptist Church, 2912 Little Rd. Arlington, TX 76016. Nola “Faye” was born in Jacksboro, TX on November 21, 1926. She married Herschel A. Ross on August 2, 1950. Daughter, Loretta Ross of Arlington, TX and many nieces and nephews survive her in death. Husband, Herschel A. Ross and parents, Daniel and Vivie Smith from Jacksboro, TX, sisters Bea Pepper of Jacksboro, Pauline Bryan of Austin and twin sister, Nora Fickle of North Richland Hills, DL Smith of Abilene and Ece Smith of Jacksboro preceded her in death. She retired from Sears Roebuck in the auditing after 27year career. She loved the people she worked with while creating a party atmosphere all work places. She was an active member of Lake Arlington Baptist church. She taught preschool for many years. Faye loved her church and serving in any way people needed her. She was not afraid to share her testimony with anyone she met. Faye never met a stranger. She was the life of the party everywhere she went. She enjoyed playing bridge, 42, Hand and Foot. She had a group of ladies that made their Friday night activity playing cards. She was an avid fan of all sports. She left her home filled with family on Thanksgiving to attend a Cowboy game. She worked at Ranger Stadium just so she could see every game. Serving, as pallbearers will be Jeremy Fickle, Justin Fickle, Brandon Fickle, Joe Nichols, Ollie Ross, Ryon Ross, Jason Dix, Gabe Guess, and Chris Gasca. Celebration of life will be Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 at 3 PM with Visitation at 2 PM before the service at Lake Arlington Baptist Church.
