Nancy Turner Dominy

December 7, 1942 — March 15, 2024

Nancy Turner Dominy, 81, of Waxahachie, TX went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2024. She was born in Wichita Falls, TX on December 7, 1942. She graduated from Arlington High School and went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology at Arlington State (UTA). She married her high school sweetheart Harvey Dominy in 1964. They raised their family in Arlington, TX. She had an impressive career working for private physicians, the Arlington Cancer Center, and finally the Texas Department of Health. She and her husband retired to her “dream home” in Waxahachie, TX where she dedicated much of her time being the highly revered bluebird ranch manager. She also loved to soak in the sunrises and sunsets from the home sanctuary that she loved so much. She will be forever remembered as a woman of strength and faith who put everyone before herself. A blue-eyed beauty who was a nurturing, encouraging, steadfast presence in the life of those she loved. She was thankful, generous, a role model, selfless and the roots that nurtured her family tree. She recognized need and gave to alleviate it.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harvey Dominy; Daughter, DeeAnn Dominy; Son, David Dominy; Granddaughters, Lorena Dominy and Kimberly Dominy; her beloved Aunt Jim (Jimmie Wolfe); Cousins, Marc Wolfe, Larry Wolfe, David Wolfe, Neva Jongewaard (Collin), Brenda Conners; Sister-in-law, Nancy Turner; Nieces, Connie Turner Oelschig and Kelley Terry; and a host of loving longtime friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Ocy Turner; her mother, Mildred Hatcher Turner; and her brother, Wayne Turner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time and details will be forthcoming. The family is asking that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your favorite charities. Some of her favorites were the Childfund and Habitat for Humanity. To her extended Metal Treating Institute family, you might choose to make donations to the MTI Scholarship Fund.
