Moses Amos Dachen, 49, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 in Carrollton, Texas.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday, August 3, at First Baptist Church, 301 S. Center St., Arlington. Interment: Hawkins Cemetery, Arlington.
Moses was born on February 14, 1974 in Nigeria to Amos and Esther Dachen. He served in the US Navy Reserves. He graduated from the Police Academy and worked as a solar energy consultant until his death. Moses had great stories to tell. He was also the Pastor of a church and a teacher. Moses wore many hats during the course of his career, and was of service to his community.
Moses loved to study, and completed two graduate studies, one in Theological studies, and the other in International relations, concentrating in National security.
He was a member of First Baptist Church Arlington, and then went to serve as a support pastor at The King’s Place International, Grand Prairie.
Moses loved being outdoors; he loved to travel. He enjoyed listening to jazz music and country music. Moses was very ambitious, energetic and full of life. He was a people person and very charismatic. He had a caring heart and always helped others when he could. He was a very good dad who loved his children dearly. His family will miss him being there for them.
Survivors: Mother, Esther Dachen; son, Roi Dachen; daughters, Sophie Dachen and Elsie Dachen; brothers, Isaac Dachen, Ezekiel Dachen and Benjamin Dachen; sisters, Abigail Dachen and Linda Dachen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SCD (sickle cell disease) program at Cook Children’s.
