Morris Jerome Sondgroth

Morris Jerome Sondgroth, 87, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018, in Carrollton, Texas. Morris was born in Hartington, Nebraska on November 4, 1930 to Nicholas and Alma (Haugen) Sondgroth. He served in the U. S. Army for 8 years and married Geraldine, “Gerry” Ruth Taake, and they raised two daughters and one son. Services for Morris will be at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 S. Cooper St., Arlington, 76015, with Pastor Joel Burkholder officiating the service. He will be interred with his wife, following the service, at Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Tx 75211. Pallbearers for the service will be Charles Duckworth, Stephen Dumesnil, Patrick Dumesnil,Brandon Dumesnil, Richard Sondgroth, and Dennis Sondgroth. Morris is predeceased by his wife, Gerry (Taake) Sondgroth, and brothers, Richard and Dennis Sondgroth. Survivors include one son, Dennis Sondgroth and wife, Anne; two daughters, Carol Duckworth and Marie Dumesnil; one brother, Duane Sondgroth; one sister, Arlene Duncan; eight grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
