Mitchell Jonathan Dailey

d. December 24, 2020

Mitchell Jonathan Dailey, 22, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Mitchell was born to Mike and Kathi Dailey on December 17, 1998, in Arlington, Texas. He attended Butler Elementary, Shackelford Junior High, and graduated cum laude from Lamar High School. He continued his education at the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Government with a minor in Business. He proudly received his UT ring on December 7, 2020. Mitchell enjoyed both playing and watching sports. hitting golf balls at the range, cheering on Bayern Munich, transitioning from baseball to intramural softball, and checking in for the Dallas Cowboys were part of his routine. He was known to critique the broadcasters of sporting events and often provided better analysis than the experts. Mitchell also loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit. Snorkeling in the Bahamas, visiting the monuments in Washington, D.C., hiking in Colorado, throwing a frisbee in Central Park, climbing the steps to the top of St. Peter's Basilica, walking along the promenade in Nice, and shopping for jerseys in Barcelona were some of his favorite travel moments. Most of all, Mitchell valued time spent with family and friends. He was intentional in his relationships, quick to ask how others were doing and then listen to their responses. He was always willing to help when needed, whether fixing technology for his mom or giving a ride to a friend. Mitchell had a mischievous spirit and a talent for bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Mitchell was a loving son, wonderful brother, amazing grandson, and genuine friend to many. He will be missed more than words can describe. Mitchell is survived by his Parents - Mike and Kathi Dailey; Brother - Jameson Dailey; Grandparents - Valerie Tucker and David & Anne Harper; Aunt Laurie Wheeler & Kirk; Uncle Perry Paxton & Kathy; Uncle Palmer Paxton; Cousins - Lance Dailey, Beau Wheeler, Tracy Paxton, Trudy Paxton, Logan Paxton, Sam Paxton, Jill Paxton.
