Michele Elaine Winn-Hoyle was born on May 27, 1965 to Laurence Whitman Winn & Mary Francis Theresa “Terry” Boylan in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Just one month later, she was baptized at the Church of St. Joseph in Dover, N.H.
Being the beloved sister of Christopher, Michael, and Ronald guaranteed a rambunctious childhood and a large, loving family life. She navigated her younger years using her sharp mind and quick wit, leading to an adolescence of excitement and rebellion. Her early twenties were spent in California with her former husband, James “Jimmy” Hoyle, where she gave birth to the light of her life, her loving son, Christopher James Hoyle (sweetly dubbed “Hunny Bunny” by Michele) on February 12, 1986. Later in life, she commuted to her job at AAA while caring for her father, Larry, until his passing. Continuing her loving devotion to family, she relocated to Arlington, Texas in 2016 with her fiancé Dennis, and her favorite four-legged companion, sweet Malia to begin a new adventure (an adventure that, she said, included Texas’ wild weather which she had never before experienced!).
Michele had a bold spirit and went head-first into whatever she set her mind to. By grace, once she found her calling in service, she spent her remaining years fiercely following in the work to which she believed God had called her. Her infectious laugh, late-night calls, and intolerance to injustice, all made her a force to be reckoned with. We will forever remember her bright, generous spirit, that brought so much joy to those who loved her.
She passed away at home on June 22nd, 2022 due to health complications including Covid.
