Michael Lynn Rollins, beloved husband of Shannon Rollins, passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 51. Born on July 25, 1972, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Billy, Sr. and Sandy Rollins, Mike brought joy and laughter to all those who knew him. His sudden departure has left a void in the lives of his loved ones and the community he touched.
For more than three decades, Mike and Shannon’s love story was a beacon of inspiration. Their chance encounter in Hurst, Texas, blossomed into a beautiful marriage filled with love and cherished memories. Through the highs and lows, they stood by each other’s side, nurturing a bond that was an example for all couples to follow.
Mike possessed a remarkable sense of humor that could light up the darkest of rooms. His infectious laughter and witty remarks had a way of bringing smiles to people’s faces, even in the most difficult times. He had a genuine heart and always extended a helping hand to those in need. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering practical advice, Michael’s compassion and generosity knew no bounds.
In his free time, Mike found solace in nature. Hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes, allowing him to reconnect with the simplicity and beauty of the great outdoors. He was often found playing darts, engaging in friendly competition and building lasting memories. Classic rock music from the 1980’s was his soundtrack, accompanying him as he immersed himself in hobbies he loved.
Renowned for his prowess in smoking various types of meats and his unmatched expertise in preparing mouthwatering brisket, he delighted family, friends, and the community with his succulent creations. His culinary skills formed the centerpiece of countless gatherings, creating moments of joy and togetherness.
However, above all, Mike cherished his role as a family man. He treasured the time spent with his wife, Shannon, and took great delight in creating treasured memories with his daughters Tiffany and Anna. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he savored every moment making them laugh, teaching them how to fish, and showering them with unconditional love.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Wade Funeral Home. Friends, family, and community members are encouraged to come together to honor and remember the extraordinary life of Michael Lynn Rollins. In his memory, let us find solace in the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the kindness he radiated.
Mike leaves behind to mourn his passing, wife Shannon, mother Sandy, daughters Tiffany, Anna and husband Frank Burns, nieces Felecia Sherman and husband Andrew, Randi Rollins, and Kaylyn Strickland, nephews Zachary Rollins, John Rollins, Dakota Lagow, and Christopher Long, grandson Ryan, and granddaughters Emma, Jaelyn, Taber Shea, and Harper.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Billy, Sr., and brother Billy, Jr.
