Michael Keith Weedman

Michael Keith Weedman passed away at 6:10 PM on 9/27/2021 after a courageous fight. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 6, 1957. Starting in the mid sixties, he, his friends and various cousins did their best to cover every inch of Louisville. He excelled at football and wrestling at Valley High School, and graduated in 1976. He lived and died a proud Vike! In 1978 he moved to Texas with the love of his life, Robin Weedman (nee Robin Sanders). Since then they have attacked life with an inspiring vigor. They had two children, Christopher Micheal and Nicole Michelle who they raised in a loving family home in Arlington, Texas. Over the years we have had so much more joy than sorrow, we were all so blessed by a warm and wonderful life that led to six beautiful grandchildren, three grand pups, a bitchin' boat and a successful business, among many other blessings. This idyllic life continued until about 15 days ago when he became sick with COVID-19. He fought valiantly and was so strong but in the end, he was called home by his heavenly father. He is preceded in death by many dear friends, his mother, father, father-in-law, two sisters and his big brother (all of whom, we are certain, had quite a reunion last night!) He is survived by his beloved wife Robin, his children Chris and Nicole, Gary (son in law) and Alicia (daughter in law), his mother in law Dori Sanders, his grandchildren, Treslynn, Isabelle, Victoria, Michael, Joseph and Elizabeth, his big sister Sheila Hays, his little brother in law Devon Sanders and so many other loving family and friends. We are heartbroken but remain blessed by the memories of our dear father, devoted husband and best friend. While we have tears in our eyes, we have nothing but gratitude in our hearts for our Weedy. So, now, we must follow his lifelong guidance! On Friday 10/1/2021 we will have a viewing at Wade Family Funeral Home from 6-8 PM (a little bit of work so to speak) and then we are going to have a Mike Weedman style, send off for the best man we know (a little bit of fun). Please come on by our house, share a drink, a warm memory and a teary smile on Saturday 10/2/2021 starting at 12:00 PM. We can never thank everyone enough for their kind words and support throughout this ordeal, we cannot overstate how much it all has meant. Not many of you know that my father has been a dedicated volunteer for decades. Through the Visiting Nurse Association and their Meals-on-Wheels program, he would install air conditioners, wheelchair ramps, and help coordinate other necessary repair services for the area elderly population.
