Michael Edward Lohman

Michael Edward Lohman, 47, went home to be with our Lord Sunday, April 23, 2017. Funeral: 1:00 pm. Saturday, April 29, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Paul Collins officiating. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery, 701 Mary Street Arlington, Texas Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 28, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Childhood Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation, Cook Children's Hospital of Fort Worth, or a charity of your choice. Michael was born April 2, 1970 in Arlington, Texas to Owen Lohman and Helen West Lohman. The youngest of three children after his two sisters, Debra and Laura. Mike had a very tight bond with his family, enjoying fishing with his dad and the many childhood family vacations to Colorado. Mike attended school in Arlington eventually graduating from Arlington High School with the class of 1988. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Kay on Spring Break of 1988 and became the proud and dutiful father of three daughters, Maria Michelle Cecelia, Patricia Megan Elizabeth, and Teresa Carolyn Myranda. Michael shouldered many responsibilities with his family in facing medical situations that challenged his children but he always faced adversity with courage and faith. Mike served his community by volunteering with the Arlington Police Department and enjoyed volunteering in his neighborhood National Night Out program and other neighborhood events and activities. His professional life was spent enjoying a 27 year career in the dialysis field as a biomedical technician in which he made many lifelong friendships. Those who knew Mike could testify to his devotion of his immediate and extended family. He was an easy going man who did not complain but stayed content with his life and God and his many blessings. His sense of humor and enjoyment of the company of friends and family were a constant. He will be deeply and forever missed but we must take comfort in knowing he is in the arms of his Savior. Survivors: Wife of 29 years, Mary Kay Lohman; and their three children, Maria Lohman, Patricia Lohman and Teresa Lohman; Parents, Owen Lohman and Helen West Lohman; Siblings, Debra Christians (Rick), Laura Taylor (James); Nieces and Nephews Brandi, Mykel, Brianna, Leah, Clint and Paige.
