Michael Edward Jones

Michael Edward Jones, 72, passed away at home on February 11, 2023, in Arlington, TX.

Mike was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 6, 1951. He attended Taft High School in Hamilton and graduated in 1969.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Sarah; step daughter, Ashley Morgan, brothers Bob, Ronn, Chris, Scott, and Jim Jones. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Theodore Jones and his mother, Joyce Hampton Jones.

Mike, or “Mikey”, as friends and family would call him was a wonderful, caring and loving brother. Over the past couple of years, many of the conversations had with Mike were centered on the love and salvation of Our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. I am confident Mike has now seen Jesus and this gives me great comfort…

It was not unusual for Mike to show acts of kindness towards total strangers on a regular basis. From a kind word, to buying someone a pair of shoes to paying for meals for strangers and more… Mike was also a funny guy and was usually the life of the party. Everywhere he went he made friends.

Not too long ago Mike retired from his job at DFW Flooring Warehouse where he had worked for over 25 years. He recently made the decision to return to work because he wanted to help his long time friend and employer in a time of need and because he always loved his job. His work colleagues welcomed him back with open arms. Unfortunately, Mike didn’t get to return to work… Mikes absence will leave a void in the hearts of the people he worked with at DFW Flooring…

Mike was always a good brother. As we grew up and to this day, most relationships have strengthened.. We seldom had any differences and we always excepted each other the way we were…

Until we see you again in Glory, we will truly love and miss you brother Mike!
