Merle Dickey

Merle Jay Dickey, 84, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11th at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas 76013. Merle attended North Dallas High School. She married Bobby Dickey in September 1957. She worked for Southwestern Bell until the birth of her children and later returned to work at Beall's Department Store. She worked there until her retirement in 1996. Merle's greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family. Merle is preceded in death by her parents, Daisy Melissa and William Ezra Jay, and her brother, William Earl Jay. Survivors include her husband, Bobby M. Dickey; daughter, Dana Dickey Cruz and husband Ronnie; son, David Dickey; grandchildren, Crystal Girtman and husband Brad, Rory Cruz and wife Bethany, and great- grandchildren, Bradley, Aria, and Zeke. She is also survived by two brothers, Frank Jay and Robert Jay; and two sisters, Pearl Price, who was her twin, and Daisy Martin. Wade Family Funeral Home 817-274-9233
