Melvin Leroy Searles, age 55, passed away Friday, June 6, 2020 at MCA hospital in Arlington.
He was born to Clyde and Madge Searles in Gainesville, Texas on June 8, 1964. He grew up in Forney and graduated from Forney High School, class of 1982. He loved Nascar, target shooting, hunting and fishing, and will also be remembered for his sense of humor and love of jokes. He was in the construction materials testing industry for many years. He was together with his wife, Aileen Searles, for 19 years. They married in 2006 and lived in Grand Prairie, TX. He loved his family and will be greatly missed along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, and by Lisa Searles Nichols, mother of his 5 children.
He is survived by his wife Aileen Searles of Grand Prairie, TX; daughter Kayley Searles of Dallas, TX; son Keaton Searles of Terrell, TX; son Kyler Searles of Forney, TX; son Kohl Searles of Grand Prairie, TX; and daughter Kennedy Searles Sanchez and husband Danny of Terrell, TX; stepdaughter Linda Darden Keller of Cleburne, TX; grandchildren Claire Sanchez; Joshua, Autumn, Amy and Nicky Darden; and half-sisters Jill Lund of Pottsboro, TX and Joni Searles of Chester, IL.
There will be a private graveside service at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas on Friday, June 19th, 2020.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Wade Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Arlington, TX. Flowers are welcome. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
