Melvin John Keizer, generous husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed from his mortal life into the eternal presence of his Savior on October 13, 2017. Celebration Service: Saturday October 21, 2017 at 10:00am in the South Sanctuary, Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, 1201 N. State Highway 360, Mansfield, TX 76063. Visitation: Friday October 20, 2017 from 6pm to 8pm, Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX 76013. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations accepted in memory of John Keizer to Recovery International at recoveryinternationalusa.org. Born in London, England on September 10, 1952, to Michel "Mick" and Frances Keizer. John grew up in London and moved to Arlington, Texas in 1988. Focused and driven John graduated from Wesleyan University with a Law Degree in 1996. John was CEO of United Paramount Tax Group. John had a 22 year career as a Tax Attorney and partnership with his close friend Stan Blacklock. John and his wife Carolyn Gail attended Walnut Ridge Baptist Church and engaged in the choir as well as connected to their church family in the Covenant Bible study group. John had a passion for flying and he served as a Lieutenant Colonel for the Civil Air Patrol. Many times John would fly Gail to Sherman or Abilene to visit their many grandchildren. John enjoyed bringing the family together by taking everyone on a family cruise or the grand kids to Disney. John loved the Lord and gave reverence to God's word. Psalm 1:2-3 ..."whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by steams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither whatever they do prospers." Survivors: John is survived by his wife Gail, their four sons; Brown Alford and daughter-in-law Cle'; Court Alford and daughter-in-law Basilia; Daniel Keizer and Simon Keizer and daughter-in-law Heather. Their eleven grandchildren Alex, Chris, John-David, Parker and Ashton Alford, Jonathan Flores, Bre'ahna Chase, Landon, Lane, Lizzy and Leyton Keizer. Their two great grandchildren Emma Mixon and Adalynn Chase. John's sister Maxine and brother-in-law Alan Green, and their son, Jasper. We love you Papa John and we will see you later in heaven.
