Melvin Harold Robertson, 83, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in Grand Prairie, TX. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Wade Family Funeral Home. 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, TX. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26 at 2 pm at Faith Tabernacle, 507 East Randol Mill Road, Arlington, TX. A visitation will be held Saturday, June 27 from 9 am to 12 pm at Shaffer Funeral Home in Robert Lee, TX with a graveside to follow at 2 pm at Robert Lee Cemetery in Robert Lee, TX. Harold was born in the Friendship community of Coke County on April 5, 1937 to J.B. and Samantha Robertson. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. On February 9, 1957, Harold married Mary Elizabeth Irwin. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2016. He is also preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Mary Emily Noelle Beckstein; his parents, J.B., and Samantha Robertson; and a baby brother, Jerald Ray Robertson. Survivors include his sons, Harold Gene Robertson, William Henry Robertson, and wife Jami; daughters, Donna Sharlene Beckstein, and husband Gary, Wynette Withers; brothers, James, Douglas, Doyle and wife Sandy; sister, Leta Faye Aldridge, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
