MURPHY -- Melissa Anne Tongier, 48, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, in Dallas. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Ryan B. Kiblinger officiating. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park, Kennedale. Box 968, Wylie, Texas 75098, or a charity of one's choice. Melissa was born June 20, 1967, in Tulsa, Okla., to Gary and Millie Tongier. She moved to Arlington in 1972 and attended Hill Elementary School, Bailey Junior High School, Arlington High School and The University of Texas at Arlington. Melissa worked as a French teacher at Wylie High School and was the leader of the French Club and Student Council. She was preceded in death by her mother, Millie Tongier. Survivors: Father, Gary Tongier; brothers, David Tongier and Kendall Tongier; aunts, Susan Wolfe and Wanda Davison; niece, Paige Bailey; and beloved cat, Cauchi.
