Melissa Christina Villasana

May 20, 1992 — November 28, 2020

Melissa Christina Villasana, 28, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Arlington. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, December 4, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 3, at the funeral home. Melissa was born on May 20th 1992 in Houston TX to Rick Villasana and Diana Santos-Smith. She was baptized by her Godparents, Gumaro Alaniz and Lisa Alaniz. Melissa moved to New York with her younger brother, Jonathan Villasana where she attended K-2nd grade. She moved back to Fort Worth and went to Meadowbrook Elementary and Middle School where she was in dance up until the 6th grade. Melissa then moved back to Houston with her father and younger brother until the age of 14. She then moved back to Fort Worth with her mother. Melissa was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Mya Lynn Villasana, at the age of 18. Afterwards, Melissa began a career in bartending. She was a people person and known to be “the life of the party”. She was most known for her “ugly laugh” that everyone loved. Melissa met her life partner, Laron Smith and had their handsome baby boy, Legend Damarius Smith. She left behind her older sister Yasmine Villasana and best friend Julie. In her spare time, Melissa loved spending time with her children, family and friends. She had a personality that would light up the room and a sense of humor that made everyone laugh. Melissa was very beautiful and was taken from us too soon. She leaves everyone in good spirits and wouldn't want sadness. She'd say “I ain't here for a long time, I'm just here for a good time”. Survivors: Life partner, Laron Smith; son, Legend Damarius Smith; daughter, Mya Lynn Villasana; parents, Juan Ricardo Villasana and Diana Santos-Smith; sister, Yasmine Villasana; brother, Jonathan Villasana; Godparents, Gumaro Alaniz and Lisa Alaniz; best friend, Julie; and numerous other family members and friends.
