ARLINGTON -- Meldon "Jack" Hill, 87, went to meet his Savior on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Northwest Baptist Church, 1003 Oakwood Lane, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Jack was born Dec. 16, 1927, to Susie and Otis J. Hill in Knox City. Jack graduated from Paschal High School in 1945 and was married to his sweetheart, Jean Carrington, on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 1952. They celebrated 63 years of marriage. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Bell Helicopter (Textron) where he worked as a quality control specialist. His Christian faith was always his top priority. Trinity has produced and supported missionaries around the world. In 1999, Jack purchased property on Oakwood Lane in Arlington and became the founding father of Northwest Baptist Church. The property was gifted to the church and has since been an outreach to all, particularly to the young. This church is growing and thriving to this day.
