ARLINGTON -- Meade M. Bennett, 97, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, in Arlington. Funeral: 3 p.m. Wednesday in Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Mike Masterson officiating. Visitation: The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Memorials: St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Fort Worth. Meade was born on December 16, 1914 in Wilson, KS to John Bennett and Lena Fredrich Benett. He moved from Russell, KS to Arlington in 1970. Meade is a retired banker and member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Violet Luerman Bennett. Survivors: Son, Larry Bennett and wife, JoAnn; daughter, Joan Bennett Forshee; two stepsisters; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
