ARLINGTON -- Mayland Kelly Caldwell, 76, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Arlington.
Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, the Rev. Jim Parks officiating.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
Mayland was born on Nov. 22, 1937, in Weatherford where she grew up. After she graduated from high school, she moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the FBI. A year later she moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas.
Mayland worked as a paralegal for most of her career, and lived most of her life in Fort Worth. She moved to Arlington two years ago to be close to her family.
Mayland adored her two granddaughters and loved visiting the rest of her family in Sherman.
She enjoyed sports, reading and travel.
Mayland was preceded in death by her mother, Lou Kelly; and sister, Jennilu.
Survivors: Son, David Hynson and wife, Kelly; grandchildren, Brynn and Lynden; sister, Rena Hudspeth and husband, Tommy; nieces, Nikki Hermanson and husband, Mike, and Kelly Smith and husband, Scott; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
