Matthew Dominick Romero

Matthew Romero, age 21, passed away on December 5, 2021.

Matthew was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Ret. E7 Michael Edward Romero and Disabled Veteran Juliana Romero. He grew up in Los Lunas, New Mexico. He attended Valencia High School and Volcano Vista High School.

Matthew was a very caring and loving individual. In particular, he was very close to his twin brother, his sister Shelby (Sissy) and her daughter (Ava Juliana). He was an artistic person who loved music and animation. He worked as a waiter at The Range Cafe in Los Lunas, and also for the USAA call center. In his free time, he loved watching anime, skateboarding, and playing video games.

He was preceded in death by Grandparents; Martha Romero Dean, Jack Dean, Col. Joseph Michael Romero, and Mary and Ret. Sgt. Roy Garrett.

Matthew is survived by his father, Michael Edward Romero and family; his mother, Juliana Romero; his sister, Shelby Lee (Sissy); his brother, PFC E3 Michael Anthony Romero; his aunts, Patricia Ann Streets, Elizabeth Garrett Wolter, and Jennifer Romero; his uncles, Rob Romero and family, Dale Wolter, and Sonny Streets; his niece Ava Lee; his best friends Zac Byrom and Jules Passell, and his beloved dog, Coco.
