Matthew Cecil Wells, 79, passed away on December 2, 2020 in Euless.
Graveside Service: 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas.
Cecil was born on May 31, 1941 in Perryville, Alabama to Matthew C. Wells and Mildred Edwards Wells. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a carpenter for McAfee Construction for many years.
Cecil enjoyed westerns, books and movies. He loved the outdoors and hunting. Cecil dearly loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Charlotte Carver Wells; by his parents; and brother, Johnny LeRoy Wells.
Survivors: Wife, Martha Mae Richardson Wells; sons, Maurice Cecil Wells and wife, Cathy, and Charles Adrian Gaines III and wife, Krystal; daughters, Dawn Renae Wells Becera and husband, Ray, Cheryl Christine Gaines Bell and husband, Kevin; sisters, Eloise Wells Doty, Brenda Faye Wells Whatley, and Polly Ray Wells Hodges and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Isabella Wells, Jade and Shelby Fields, James, Jason and Kyle Bell; great-grandsons, Ryder Fields, Landon Bell and Andrew Bell; and a host of family and friends.
