Captain Matt Thomas Tawater Saturday, December 10, 1983 - Saturday, October 10, 2020 Matt passed away on October 10, 2020 at a young age of 36 in Arlington, Texas. He was born December 10, 1983 in Arlington, TX, to Randy and Doris Tawater. He spent a lot of time in Port Aransas/Rockport TX while working the boat/yacht industry. That's where he found his passion for the ocean and boats. He then took a job that led him to the Bahamas where he met the love of his life, his Panda. He then proceeded to obtain his goal on acquiring his 100 Ton Master Captain License with the help of his great friend and mentor, Captain Stash. This was no surprise to the family that Matt decided to make a life down there since that's where we spent our family vacations for his entire life. Matt lived an adventurist life to the fullest. He never met a stranger and loved the ocean. He was always planning on his next big trip. He traveled and saw many sights that most people only dream of. He was never alone because he had his Panda along his side the entire way. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Juanita Tawater and Sarah Lawing Mitchell.
