Mary Louise Iley Brown

ARLINGTON -- Mary Brown, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, was called to her heavenly home Wednesday, June 17, 2015. She would have been 95 years old in August. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mary was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Gorman to Noble and Elsie Iley. Mary's greatest joys in life were being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and many artist projects. Mary loved children and loved teaching them. She was an outstanding teacher for 31 years in Midland public schools. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Charles. They were married for 59 years. Survivors: Son, Charles Stephen Brown and his wife, Tina; daughter, Carole Thomas and her husband, Grove; grandsons, Trey, Britt and Josh; and beloved granddaughter, Lauren.
