Mary Elizabeth Parks, 86, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Arlington. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mayfield Road Baptist Church, 1701 E. Mayfield Road, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington. Interment: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the God Is Able Building Fund at Mayfield Road Baptist Church, address above. Mary was born on January 29, 1931 in Blount County, Tennessee. She worked at Miller's Department Store, the University of Tennessee Student Center and St. Mary's Medical Center; all in Knoxville, Tennessee. Mary also worked as a teaching assistant at Wee @ MRBC, Arlington, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Nina Elizabeth Swaggerty; first husband, Lawrence Bridges; and second husband, Alton Parks. Survivors: Son, Bobby L.
