Mary Elizabeth Barzyk

ARLINGTON -- Mary Elizabeth Barzyk, 68, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 in Arlington. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Dr., Arlington. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Maria Goretti in support of religious education, 1200 S. Davis, Arlington, TX 76013 or a charity of your choice. Mary was born on October 28, 1947 in Quincy, Illinois to Paul Ralph Rottman and Wilma Willer Rottman. She was employed by the AISD for 25 years, having worked as a LAN Tech at Seguin High School. Mary was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church for over 40 years where she taught religious education for 25 years. She helped her husband coach soccer teams for more than 20 years. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and was an excellent cook. She was always there to help, and was a kind person who was loved by everyone. Mary is preceded in death by her sister, Jean Ellen and her parents. Survivors: Husband of 49 years, Ronald Barzyk; sons, Robert Barzyk and wife, Michal, Christopher Barzyk, and John Barzyk and wife, Amy; 4 brothers; 5 sisters; and grandchildren, Claudia, Abigail, Reagan, Rachel, Jack, Gavin, Samuel, Nicholas, Elin and Luke.
