Our family is heartbroken at the loss of Mary Louise Trudell. She was a wife, mom, a grandmother, a great great grandmother, and a great great aunt. She departed this world unexpectedly on Friday morning December 13, 2024 and is in the arms of Jesus. Her pain is gone forever and when her husband Mike arrives in heaven, she will greet him with her BIG SMILE and say, “WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG.”
Mary Louise Trudell was born in Perryville, Arkansas on August 2nd,1943 to Thurman Cato and Melvina Cato and was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas where she attended Hall High School. Mary had a smile that lit up the room and a spirit that drew you to her. She loved life and was always fun to be around. She had many lifelong friends.
Mary wed Mike Trudell March 17, 1972, and it was the best decision Mike ever made, the happy couple moved to Arlington, Texas that same year. They immediately found a church home at Fielder Church where they found joy in worship and fellowship. Mary’s kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched the lives of so many as she spread her love of Christ.
Another passion for Mary and Mike was Trinity Kids, Inc, sponsor of Royal Family Kids Camps for abused and neglected kids. They were Mimi and Papaw to hundreds of kids at summer camps for 15 years. She loved the kids and a multitude of volunteers.
Mary will be missed by her friends and her husband Mike will miss her most of all. Every morning Mary and Mike had a tradition of saying “I LOVE YOU TODAY” every morning and these words were exchanged a few minutes prior to her passing.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father Melvina and Thurman Cato as well as her sister and brother-in-law Betty and Doug Coney Sr.
Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years Mike Trudell, sons Brad Trudell and his wife Lisa of Mansfield, TX; Michael Trudell and his wife Shellie of Kingwood, TX. Grandchildren: Colton, Dawson and Zoey Trudell; Avery Hebert and her husband Chris and Great Grandchild Asher Hebert. And many nephews and nieces.
There aren't enough words to express how much Mary was loved, admired, and cherished by her family and friends!
