Mary Joe Bradshaw Teddlie (Tess Amberson), 81, died on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Exton, PA after a brief illness.
Mary Joe was born in McGregor, TX, and was raised there and in Bellmead, TX. Mary Joe graduated from Baylor University in 1958 and worked as a legal administrative assistant and paralegal in several cities in Texas, Las Vegas, NV and in Media, Philadelphia and Radnor, PA. Mary Joe was an adventurous soul who travelled to China with a tour group at the age of 68 so that she could stand on the Great Wall of China. She moved to Nevada in 1995 to live and work for a brief time so that she could see the Grand Canyon. She also traveled to Israel and Egypt with her husband, Reverend Bob J. Teddlie, a Southern Baptist minister. Mary Joe played the violin, piano and organ, which made her an ideal pastor's wife for the small Texas churches that her husband pastored in the early days of their marriage.
Mary Joe was predeceased by her husband, Reverend Bob J. Teddlie in 1981.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Jobe and husband, David R. Jobe of Exton, PA; son, Brian J. Teddlie and wife Vicky Teddlie of Rowlett, Tx; four grandchildren, Lisa Jobe, Laura Jobe, Stuart Teddlie and Ben Teddlie; and sister, Nancy Ramsey of Waco, Tx.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Wade Family Funeral Home, Arlington, TX with a graveside service immediately following at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery.
