ARLINGTON -- Mary Jo Roe, age 87, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, in Arlington. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to New York Avenue Church of Christ, Chimala Mission. Mary Jo was born March 19, 1925, in Hawley to Hubert and Wilma Benton. She married Joseph Dalton Roe on Jan. 12, 1945, in Fort Worth. She was a homemaker and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years and her son-in-law, David Mitchell. Survivors: Brother, Bob Benton; daughter, Diane Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Linda Roe; daughter and son-in-law, Caron and Darrel Agee; grandchildren, Devin and Neil Fernandes, Darah Mitchell, Megan and Eric Martinez, Bailey and Simon Stiles and Shelly Agee; and great-grandchildren, David and Daniel Fernandes.
