Mary Jo Lynch

Mary Jo (Appolone) Lynch passed from this life on February 15, 2021, in Arlington, Texas. She had been declining in health for several months, but her death was unexpected. A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, 10:00 am at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd, Arlington, Tx 76017. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations in Mary's memory be made to Catholic Charities Fort Worth, at catholiccharitiesfortworth.org (249 Thornhill Drive, Fort Worth, Tx 76115, 817-534-0814) Mary worked for American Airlines in Dallas and Phoenix for 22 years before retiring in 2009. She loved to travel, playing duplicate bridge and doting on her white Labrador retrievers. Mary was born April 10, 1947 in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School, attended Memphis State University and graduated from the University of Akron. Mary and Bill met at Memphis State, married and then made seven interstate moves before landing in Arlington in 1986. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bill Lynch and two daughters, Shannon Kassim and Heather Coons, both of Orlando, Florida. She had four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol Ann Ford of Winston Salem, North Carolina and Eileen Appolone of Arlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith Rose Appolone and Ernest L.
