Mary Harkey Tally

ARLINGTON -- Mary Harkey Tally, 87, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Arlington. Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington with Rev. Harold Thompson and Rev. R. Don Guy officiating. Interment: 1:00 p.m. Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home. Mary was born on November 14, 1924 in Bennington, Oklahoma to Lathe William Harkey and Corinne Adams Harkey. She married Joseph Ezra Tally on December 4, 1942 and resided in Tulsa for 30 years. An Arlington resident since 2002, she was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing crazy card games. Mary dearly loved her church, friends and family, including her beloved dog, Benji. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Ezra Tally. Survivors: Daughter, Gloria Kidwell and husband, Don; brother, L. Wendell Harkey and wife, Pam; sister, Sue Piersall and husband, Bob; grandchildren, Greg Lane and wife, Melanie and Barry Lane and wife, Rachel; great-grandson, Ethan Tally Lane.
