Mary Frances Garcia

Mary Frances Garcia, 72, died on July 4, 2022 in Arlington, Texas.

A visitation will be held at Wade Family Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, July 22 followed by a Memorial Service on Saturday, July 23 at 2:00pm also at Wade Family Funeral Home.

Some knew her as Chula. Some knew her as Mary or Ms. Mary, but what we all knew her as was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She took her role as wife, mother and grandmother very seriously and made family her top priority. Our mom and dad celebrated 52 years of marriage on January 23, 2022.

Chula was a visionary. She saw beauty in many things and as part of this she collected various types of collectibles. She and her husband truly enjoyed traveling to antique malls and auctions in her passion to purchase collectibles that brought her pure joy and excitement. She wouldn’t think twice to be where she needed to be if it meant she could get an item that she just “had to have”. Her collection is quite large and has so much range within it. There are items that capture her whimsical side along with images of the beauty she saw in cats, birds, nature, flowers, stained glass, crystal, lamps, coins, stamps, watches, Christmas ornaments, vases, books, paintings, leather and luxury luggage.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Louis C. Mendoza Sr. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Rodolfo Garcia; daughter Anissa K. Perez (husband Tommy); son Christian M. Garcia (wife Melissa); grandsons Christian D. Leon and Elijah C. Garcia; granddaughter Lauren A. Yrigollen; mother Frances Mendoza; brothers Pete Mendoza, Freddie Mendoza, Paul Mendoza, Louis Mendoza Jr. and Edward Mendoza; sister Sylvia Black as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
