Mary Elizabeth Quinn

HURST -- Mary Elizabeth Quinn, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, to be with the angels and is now wrapped in God's loving arms. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Aids and Pancreatic Cancer Research. Mary was born Mary Elizabeth Halpin in Larchmont, N.Y., on May 9, 1940, and she was the youngest of seven children. She was devoted to her faith and graduated from the Academy of the Resurrection in 1958. She went on to marry Thomas A. Quinn and raise four wonderful children. She was a career woman and worked at IBM, Perrier and currently at DR Horton. Mary loved life, she loved her friends and her family and she touched everyone she met. We are all better for knowing and having Mother Mary in our lives. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Survivors: Sons, Tom Quinn and Chris Quinn and wife, Karen; daughters, Mary Beth Chastain and husband, Bubba, and Maureen Jander and fiance, Tom; brother, Frank Halpin; sisters, Regina Senatore and Eileen Cassidy; grandchildren, Nicole, Brendan and wife, Kayla, Jessica and Shane; great-grandchildren, Talan and McKenna; her dearest friend, Rose Marie Stevens; her lovely pooch, Gracie; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
