Mr. Marvin Earl Clark

July 20, 1931 — December 24, 2021

Marvin Earl Clark, 90, departed this earth for his heavenly home, December 24, 2021.

A Graveside service will be held January 11 at 1:15 pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas Texas 75211.

Earl was born in Shuqualak, Mississippi, on July 20, 1931, to Sam Jones Clark and Annie Mae Clark. He joined the Air Force at the age of 16 to make a life for himself and met the love of his life, Wanda Horn, while stationed in Denison, Texas. They were married August 12, 1948, together they raised 5 children and were deployed across the country in many states as an Air Force family.

After serving 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, Earl retired in Arlington, Texas and went to work for American Airlines in the mail department where he was loved and appreciated for his kindness. Following his retirement from American, he loved to spend time with Wanda and work in his garden and yard. A weed was not allowed to grow in Earl’s immaculate garden and a flag always flew in his front yard.

Earl will not be remembered for the words he spoke but by his faith and the quiet, humble, honorable life he lived. While on this earth he amassed a fortune, in a family he built, Earl was indeed a wealthy man. A hole has been left in our hearts, but we rejoice in the peace he enjoys while walking the gardens of heaven.

Earl was preceded in death by parents, Sam Jones Clark and Annie Mae Clark, and his brothers who left a legacy of service to this country, Edward Clark (U.S. Army) who died in Manila after the Bataan death march, Robert Clark (U.S. Air Force) Jack Clark(U.S. Navy), and  James Roger Clark (U.S. Air Force) and Billy Clark.

Survived by his wife of 73 years Wanda Clark, daughter Sherry Ortiz and husband Daniel Ortiz, son Johnny Clark and wife Karlos Clark, daughter Carol Ward and husband Danny Ward, daughter Janie Jicha and husband George Jicha and daughter Nancy Stipp and husband Bill Stipp, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
