Marvelia Thurman

Marvelia del Carmen Thurman left this world for eternal life at the age of 65 on Monday, August 16th, 2021 after a selfless and courageous battle with COVID. Marvelia was born on May 30th, 1956 in Venezuela, born and raised in the small town of Anaco, State of Anazoategui ,Venezuela. Her four grandchildren lovingly called her “Yaya”. One of her passions was showering all the grandchildren with unique and wonderful gifts. She loved cooking traditional Venezuelan foods for the whole family. For many years, she always cooked everyones' favorite traditional hallacas at Christmas time. Her children and grandchildren will always cherish those memories. Marvelia's greatest achievements were being a loving mother, devoted grandmother and a trusted friend. Marvelia's passions and primary focuses in life were her family and friends. Marvelia was a one-of-a-kind, with an extraordinary and giving personality. Marvelia's love and generosity towards others was boundless, especially the love she had for God. She is now at peace, and her heart and spirit will forever be with those whom she loved and who loved her. Preceded in death by her mother Carmen Geronima Quijada and father Jose Asuncion Carvajal; Sisters, Bisvelia Quijada and Marelis Gil. Survivors: Daughters Mirna Williams and husband, Jeff Wiliams, Maryori Ash and husband Brooksie Ash. Sons Charlie Thurman, Anthony Thurman and wife Zahra Thurman. Sisters/brothers: Mirella Quijada, Yuli Quijada, Iris Quijada, Jaqueline Burgland, Cruz Jose Quijada, Jose Quijada, Oscar Quijada. Grandchildren- Olivia Ash, Avery Ash, Analeigh Thurman, Isabel Williams. Memorial Service Saturday, August 16th, 2021 at 2pm at Wade Family Funeral Home. Officiaiting : Pastor Jay McFadden
