ARLINGTON -- Martha Lee Frazar Woolf, 89, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, 313 N. Center St., Arlington. Interment: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington. Martha Lee Frazar Woolf was born March 19, 1924, in Strawn, daughter of Georgia Estelle Watson Frazar and Morris Frazar. Her mother was descended from pioneer settlers of the Palo Pinto County area. Martha graduated from Strawn High School, 1941, and attended Tarleton State College. She married Jack Woolf of Trinidad, Texas, July 10, 1948. They celebrated their 65th anniversary last Wednesday. She moved to Arlington in 1957 when her husband joined the administration of the University of Texas at Arlington, then Arlington State College, where she graciously served as hostess of the university for 10 years, while raising three children. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Arlington, since 1957, and Trinity United Methodist Church since 2000. Mrs. Woolf was active in the Arlington Woman's Club, UTA faculty Women's Club, Shady Valley Women's Golf, The Daughters of the American Revolution, Baliando Dance Club and many other social, school, and university organizations. She was a member of the committee which initiated the Arlington Fourth of July Parade. She was devoted to her family and many friends. Known for her cooking skills, nothing thrilled her more than hearing her grandsons asking, "Gran what are we having for supper?" then, of course "Gran I love you," even after they were grown men. Martha was preceded in death by daughter, V. Ann Woolf, and brother, Morris Watson Frazar. Survivors: She is survived by husband, Jack Woolf; sons, Charles Woolf, Dr. Mark Woolf and wife, Debbie; grandsons, Jordan Woolf and wife, Lauren, Travis Woolf and wife, Katie; great-grandson, Nolan Jack Woolf; sister-in-law, Lila Woolf Caraway; and several nieces and nephews.
