Marsha Waddell Moller

Marsha Waddell Moller was born July 13, 1951, in Fort Worth to Juanita and Lloyd Waddell. She passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of October 5, 2022, following a tragic car accident.

Life was a wonderful adventure for Marsha, and she was equally at home on her family’s farm in east Fort Worth as she was pursuing exactly what she wanted. Her story is one of fierce independence, untamed spirit, and deep love.
After graduating from Eastern Hills High School in 1969, she set off to follow her inquisitive mind, sampling college at Southern Methodist University, then University of Texas at Austin, and finally the University of Hawaii, where she arrived on vacation in Waikiki and stayed for three years.
She eventually made it back to Fort Worth, and in 1976, she met her future husband David Moller on a blind date at a Golden Gloves boxing match. Both Marsha and David disliked boxing and spent the entire night engrossed in conversation. The two were married the following year, settling in with Marsha’s three Irish setters, who begrudgingly welcomed David into the fold. Marsha’s love for animals was only exceeded by her love for her family, and she was deeply devoted to their two children, Jennifer and Eric, and their granddaughters, Carys and Zara.
Marsha could always be counted on to care for and nurture others, and she brought that compassion to her career at her grandfather’s company Earl R. Waddell & Sons, where she served as Vice President and Partner. She inspired dedication in others, and many of her employees worked for her their entire careers.
Though she was dedicated to her work, she always made time to play, elevating her hobbies and passions by joining groups, clubs, and experiences like Pony Club, Irish Setter Club of Fort Worth, Doberman Pinscher Club of Dallas, yoga retreats in far-flung locations, walking in the 60-mile Komen 3-Day event, and more.
In her recent years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, visiting her daughter’s family in California, and helping her son remodel his home. She was particularly proud of her Doberman “Ace” after they won his Grand Championship together last year.
Marsha was the epitome of someone who never met a stranger, forming fast bonds with humans and animals alike her entire life. She leaves behind many broken-hearted family members and friends from all over the country. To have been loved by Marsha is one of life’s greatest gifts.
She was preceded in death by her parents Juanita R. and Lloyd Waddell and grandparents Earl R. and Esther Waddell, and Helen Reeder.
Survivors: Husband of 45 years David N. Moller; daughter Jennifer Moller Press and husband Oliver; son Eric N. Moller; grandchildren Carys and Zara Press; and her many extended family and friends, whom she loved dearly.
