Mark Allen Kirton

Mark Allen Kirton departed this earth on September 27, 2018 at the age of 55. He was born on March 6, 1963, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and grew up in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He finished high school in Sallisaw in 1981 and left many friends there to move to Dallas. He continued his education at North Texas State University (NTSU) and graduated in 1988 with a degree in International Marketing. His professional career began with Federal Express (FedEx) where he worked his way into management. After several years with FedEx, he advanced his career by taking a position with XPO Logistics, Inc. where he worked until he was stricken with illness. Mark is survived by his wife of 25 years, Katalin Kirton; son, William Paul Kirton; father and stepmother, Wendel and Betty Kirton; mother, Bobbi Rivarde; brother, Jeff Martindale and Erica Jo Dempsey; sister, Traci and Bret Huffman; stepbrother, Jimmy and Melissa Cox and stepsister, Jamie and Michael Cissell. Mark was a member of Park View Church in Arlington, Texas where he sang and played his guitar in the praise and worship band. He also taught Sunday School there. He influenced many lives with his music and the witness of his faith to others. God needed another Angel for his heavenly choir that sang his praises and played a guitar, and he wanted the best!
