Mark Steven Mcgrath

Mark Steven McGrath, age 63, passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2023.

Mark was born on July 1, 1960 in Great Lakes, Illinois to his loving parents, Don and Janice McGrath. Mark had an adventurous childhood, as his father was in the Navy and he and his siblings moved around often. As a boy, what he loved the most was spending his summers at his grandparent’s farm in Waverly, KS.

His family eventually settled in Arlington, TX where Mark finished his education at Bowie High School and eventually began a successful career in sales. Early in his career, he met his loving wife, Patrice, who he spent a beautiful 38 years together. Along the way, Mark and Patrice had their son, Matt McGrath, who he was very proud of.

Mark was a lover of all sports. His competitive spirit fed his passion to play softball, water volleyball, and ping pong well into his adult years. But most of all, Mark loved his family, and he welcomed any opportunity to get together, spend time, and most of all have fun with those he loved. His personal philosophy was this…

Mark is survived by his wife, Patrice, son, Matt and his husband, Tyler Curry-McGrath, granddaughter, Blake Curry-McGrath, father, Don, brother, Mike and his wife, Kristie, and his sister, Donna Giddings. Mark is preceded by his mother, Janice.
