Marilyn Perkins Rusk

ARLINGTON -- Marilyn Dell Perkins Rusk, 86, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015, in Arlington. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Marilyn was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Dallas to Guilford Loving Perkins and Erna Eugenia Smith Perkins. As a lifelong Arlington resident, Marilyn was a proud Arlington High School alumnus and a graduate of NTAC (now UTA). Her commitment to First Presbyterian Church Arlington included teaching Sunday school, Fellowship and Mariners sponsors and years with the Chancel Choir. A devoted mom and grandmother, she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jenny Hammack; and son-in-law, Britt Hammack. Survivors: Son, Steve Rusk and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Charlie and Payton Rusk and Ashley and Taylor Hammack; dear friends, Miriam Bush and Betty Williams; and numerous cousins.
