Maria Maura Maldonado – Remembering a Beloved Wife, Mother, and Homemaker

Maura, a devoted wife, nurturing mother, loving grandmother, and skilled homemaker, peacefully passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on December 7, 1952, Maura filled the lives of those around her with love, compassion, and a sense of unwavering strength.

Maura’s love for her family knew no bounds. She shared a strong and nurturing bond with her husband Julio Maldonado, with whom she enjoyed a lifetime of cherished memories. Her children, Karla Diaz, Elvis Maldonado, and Melissa Buesing were the light of her life, and she dedicated herself to teaching them valuable life lessons with her gentle and wise guidance.

Known as “Abuelita” by her grandchildren, Leilani Diaz, Kaleb Diaz, Sophia Maldonado, Preston Maldonado, and Mateo Buesing, Maura’s love for them was a testament and reminder of God’s grace and unconditional love for each and everyone.

A woman of strong values, Maura approached life with a quiet determination and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Her belief in the power of community led her to actively lend a helping hand to those in need. Maura’s beautiful smile could light up any room and her temperate nature brought comfort to those around her.

In the heart of her home, Maura displayed her incredible skills as a cook. With boundless creativity and imagination, she delighted her family and friends with delicious meals that will forever be cherished in their memories.

Maura’s passing leaves a void in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.

The funeral services and ceremonies in honor of Maura’s life will be 1:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2024, at Wade Funeral Chapel in Arlington, Texas. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate her memory, share stories, and support for a formal visitation service from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Wade Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at Moore Memorial Gardens at 3:00 pm, Friday, February 9, 2024
