Margie Nell Jordan passed away at home at age 97. She was also known as Gran-Gran by relatives and friends alike.
Funeral: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Private Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation: 1:30-2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
A lifelong resident of Arlington, she was active in the community from sewing club, garden club, and Women's Club. Her home was the gathering place for many wedding and baby showers, club functions, holidays and church gatherings; not to fail to mention Friday night 42 Club parties of her group of close friends. Her yard was known by many for beautiful pansies in winter and pink petunias in the summer. Her priorities in life were her strong Christian faith, her family she adored, her friends and dessert (preferably something chocolate).
Her life is a beautiful example of how to navigate a ever changing culture with grace, integrity, modesty and gentleness while always being true to her Christian values and beliefs.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Irless Jordan; and son, Jerry Jordan.
Survivors: Daughter-in-law, Kay Jordan; granddaughter, Jennifer Maddox and husband, Chad; grandson, Jeff Jordan and wife, Kari; great-granddaughters, Chandler Jordan, Cydnie Jordan, Colbi Jordan, MacLaine Maddox and Jordan Maddox.
Appreciation to Dr. Joe Owens for wonderful attentive care; and her caregiver team who became like family: Joyce Clark, Veronica Hinds, Tracie Barnes and Doris Blair.
