ARLINGTON -- Margaret Ann Stallings Hawrylak passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at a Cypress hospital near Houston with her children by her side.
Funeral: Noon Friday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Interment: 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. Visitation: The family will receive friends 10:30 a.m. to service time Friday.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Magaret was born Nov. 25, 1925, to Maudie and Thomas Stallings, in Paris, Texas. She was raised in Fort Worth and was a graduate of Diamond Hill High School in 1943, where she was proud to be a cheerleader. She married her sweetheart, Stanley Hawrylak Jr., on Valentine's Day in 1946, and was blessed with two children, Christy Ann, born 1947, and Rick Lee, born 1949. Margaret loved to sew, was known to make all of her own clothes until her final days, and often made clothing for her many family members. She lived most of her life in the Fort Worth area, where she raised her children and spent many years with her husband working in their garden with their many pets.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, after 62 years of marriage. She spent her final years living independently in the Houston area to enjoy more time with her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors: Her many family members including son, Rick Lee Hawrylak and wife, Donna, of Tomball; daughter, Christy Ann Hawrylak Evans and husband, Tom Wolf, of Rochester, N.Y.; grandchildren, Richard Hawrylak, Leslie Evans, Courtney Hawrylak, Derek Evans; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Hunter Hawrylak; and numerous nieces and nephews.
