Macie Hunt

Macie Watson Hunt died at 93 years of age on January 22, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born to J.M. and Lessie Carter Watson in Bovina, Texas. She received her BA and MED from West Texas State University. She was married to Donald A. Hunt for 51 years. They resided and were educators in many communities, including DeSoto, Midland, Levelland, Groom and Sunray Texas. Macie married Ted Brock after Don’s death. She lived her later years at Lakewood Village Christian Care Center.

Macie dedicated her life to her family, but more importantly to God and Jesus Christ. She was a life-time member of the Church of Christ. She loved music, laughter, cooking, studying the Bible, and serving others. She made sure her family was grounded in the faith of Jesus Christ; her greatest love was her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her children: Lyn (Dan) Goggin of Fort Worth, Lea (Steve) Holt of Runaway Bay, and Greg (Michele) Hunt of Arlington. She adored her grandchildren Katy Goggin, Meg Goggin and Jim Goggin, Keely James, Karlyn Baggett, Marisa Hunt and Austin Hunt. Her legacy lives on through her great grandchildren: Avery and Cadel Fox, Bryant, Adler and Cora James, and Oliver and Macie Baggett.

Macie will lie in repose from 12pm to 5pm on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Wade Family Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Donald Allen Hunt, at 10am on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
